Today is Choose Day

...and though the historical election will happen miles away, in a land that once conquered us and yet shuns us, we wait with bated breath for the one who will inhabit the White House.

Though they couldn't care less how we'd be affected, we are concerned just the same. How will this affect foreign policy? How will they treat our friends and family members who have migrated or are awaiting citizenship? Will this mean less offshore jobs? Will they finally sign the Kyoto Protocol?

Oh what am I thinking. That may be asking for too much. Still we can't help but attribute the solution to the oil crisis and financial crisis, and the war in the middle east to come from them. All these answers will be in the hands of the US citizens. Who they choose will spell an uncanny and critical result, with major repercussions for us, and the whole world.

Some may find it scary, but boy, you can't help but admit, it's going to be really exciting.
