Loving

is, more or less, about you loving someone more for less than what you do or get, or it's giving less against more of the love the other person offers up to you.

One or the other gives more... more than what is wanted, or expected. Love is given however less you receive. There may be less doubt, less thinking, but to give more, you go through more pain and suffering. But you are convinced it makes you more human. It's what makes us all human, to diminish ourselves in the face and power of love. There is less of you to go around, but all of yourself you freely give to one person.

What more can you ask for? Nothing, so sometimes you find yourself giving less than you should. It's dangerous, this game of complacency. Knowing you are loved more by someone else makes you think less of the sacrifice, and instead leads you to demand more. Til the person who loves you is left with less than half of what s/he was when s/he decided to give up more for you. All for you.

And you have the temerity to throw a wild tantrum at this? All this? It makes you less than the human you think you are in the first place. HAve you given any more? Have you proven more than what you promised? What you have now is nothing short of a miracle, so why not care more for it? For your love? For the sacrifice? It costs so much less than all the treasures in the world ever found, or even waiting to be found. But it is worth more than two lifetimes in the finite world of chemically-bound carbons and oxides. It's more than the world you know. It's more than the humanness you possess. It makes you more of everything you ever dreamed.
